Writing Instruments
Symphony of Passion
The baritone resonance of a barrel, formed of precious resin or even red-gold, blends brilliantly with the soprano chime of a gold-plated clip; as composers assign the perfect notes and tones to tell their stories, so do Montblanc craftsmen in allotting material for exquisite writing instruments; at the heart of which is its nib – the keynote - where the soul resides.
Montblanc nibs - originated of 18 K gold, pliable and impressionable as solitary notes upon a staff - are rolled and stamped, given their basic shape with the heart hole, from which the music of ink will eventually flow. The nib is pressed and engraved with Montblanc’s trademark star and the number 4810, the height of Mont Blanc, symbolic of the company’s soaring opus of brilliance which began a century ago.
