Special Functions

P1: Starting and stopping the chronograph: Pressing once starts the large second hand (D), which sets the minute counter (F) in motion after 60 seconds have elapsed. Pressing a second time stops the large second hand and the minute counter, and the 1/10 second counter then shows the recorded time.

P2: Returning the chronograph to zero and split-time function: Pressing once when the chronograph has already been stopped (see P1) returns the three chronograph hands (large second hand (D), 1/10 second counter (E), minute counter (F)) to zero.

Pressing once, while the chronograph is running (see P1), stops the three chronograph hands (large second hand, 1/10 second counter, minute counter) to show the split time; pressing a second time displays the elapsed time again. This split-time function may be activated as many times as required.

Water Resistance

As stated on the back of the case, all Montblanc watches are water resistant to 30 m; the Sports Collection is water resistant to 200 m. After contact with salt water, it is recommended to clean the case carefully using freshwater and a soft cloth. Watches should be tested for water resistance every two years, or when the battery is changed, by an authorised Montblanc Service Center.
