Water Resistance

As stated on the back of the case, all Montblanc watches are water resistant to 30 m; the Sports Collection is water resistant to 200 m. After contact with salt water, it is recommended to clean the case carefully using freshwater and a soft cloth. Watches should be tested for water resistance every two years, or when the battery is changed, by an authorised Montblanc Service Center.

Dual Time

Crown

Special functions

P1: Setting the date: Press the corrector with the correction tool until the desired date is displayed.
P2: Setting the day of the week: Press the corrector with the correction tool until the desired day of the week is displayed.
P3: Setting the date: Press the corrector with the correction tool until the desired date is displayed.

As stated on the back of the case, all Montblanc watches are water resistant to 30 m; the Sports Collection is water resistant to 200 m. A: Power reserve indicator (approx. 40 hours). If the hand of the power reserve indicator should fail to return completely to zero, this does not mean that your watch is faulty.

A: Crown with 3 positions for adjusting the movement.
1: Position running and manual winding.
2: Turn the crown clockwise for quick correction of the date. Turn the crown clockwise for quick correction of the day of week.
3: Position for setting time. In this position the second hand ceases to move, to allow the exact time to be set.
Note: Settings A (2) should not be changed manually during the period between
8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Manual adjustment during this period may damage the movement.

B: Crown with 2 positions for setting the alarm.
1: Position running and manual winding.
2: Position for setting alarm.
After setting the time for the alarm, the crown must be left in this position until the alarm goes off. Pushing the crown back in turns off the alarm. Note: The alarm function is accurate to ±10 minutes.

Crown

3: Position for setting time. In this position the subsidiary second hand ceases to move, allowing the exact time to be set.
Note: Settings 2 (G, H) should not be changed manually during the period between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Manual adjustment during this period may damage the movement.


Special Functions

P1: Starting and stopping the chronograph: Pressing once starts the large second hand (D), which sets the minute counter (E) in motion after 60 seconds have elapsed; the hour counter (F) starts running at the same time Pressing a second time stops the large second hand, the minute counter, and the hour counter.

P2: Returning the chronograph to zero: Pressing once returns the three chronograph hands (large second hand (D), minute counter (E), hour counter (F)) to zero. This function only works when the chronograph has already been stopped (see P1). Operating this function when the chronograph is running can damage your watch.

H: Local time (see example Reykjavik 10.00 p.m.) is shown using the hour and minute hands (A, B). The additional hand (H), which goes round once every 24 hours, can be used to select and set a second time zone (see example New York 6.00 p.m.).
