Arts & Culture Cultural Foundation About the Foundation

About the Foundation

The Montblanc Cultural Foundation has been initiating and supporting worldwide projects since 1992 in terms of patronage of art, contemporary arts, young theater and classical music. The emphasis is on the funding of young artists, such as with the PRIX Montblanc or the Young Directors Award and the awarding of the Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award to patrons of art in different countries, the collaboration with cultural and social institutions and the integration of arts and culture in its own corporation through the Montblanc Cutting Edge Art Collection. The major part of the Montblanc Cutting Edge Art Collection can be seen by the public in the Montblanc production facilities in Hamburg. Additionally the Foundation purchases every second year a work of art for the cooperation with the Hamburger Kunsthalle/Gallery of Contemporary Art. The Foundation is registered in Hamburg. Lutz Bethge is Chairman of the Board. Managing directors are Ms. Violante Avogadro and Mr. Tobias Woischke. The Montblanc Cultural Foundation supports only its own projects and does not accept applications for funding.
