Philharmonia of the Nations
Montblanc has its roots in writing culture and is therefore dedicated to making cultural commitments. One of the diverse projects brought to life by Montblanc is the Philharmonia of the Nations. Taking its inspiration from an idea by Leonard Bernstein and Lord Yehudi Menuhin, it was established in 1995 under the motto "Let's make music as friends". This unconventional orchestra brings together particularly talented young musicians from over forty nations and five continents, and is directed by founder and conductor Prof. Justus Frantz. In its pursuit of musical virtuosity and as a symbol of creative cooperation between nations and cultures, the orchestra conveys a message of peace and harmony, which can be understood all over the world.
