Arts & Culture Music Prix Montblanc 2011 - Sergey Khachatryan

2011 - Sergey Khachatryan

On October 25, 2011, Montblanc honored the very talented violinist Sergey Khachatryan with the PRIX Montblanc 2011. The outstanding classical musician received the award from Lutz Bethge, CEO Montblanc International, in the extraordinary atmosphere of the “Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt” in Berlin.
It was the splendid talent and impressive virtuosity of the 26-year-old Armenian-born violinist Sergey Khachatryan that convinced the prominent jury to award him with this year’s PRIX Montblanc. Since 2006, the arts and culture brand Montblanc has paid tribute to young emerging talents in classical music with the PRIX Montblanc.
The performance of the awardee as well as a truly inspiring concert of the the Philharmonia of the Nations under the musical direction of Prof. Justus Frantz gave the evening a very special atmosphere.
