The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by the famous adventure novel by Jules Verne. The Limited Edition 811 Fountain Pen in black stained ebony wood, draws on the second leg of the journey from Bombay to Yokohama. Wood is chosen to pay tribute to when Mr. Fogg saves Princess Aouda from being forced to commit suttee. The wooden barrel is inlaid with an Au750 / 18k solid gold inlay representing the 5 coins of the Qing dynasty. The main characters travel in this part of the adventure on a majestic elephant through the jungles of India, which is depicted on the AU750 / 18k solid gold cartouche inlaid on the Ag 925 sterling silver cap. The cap and the barrel feature an engraved pattern with good luck symbols. The clip features a red lacquered diamond card suit and the cone is engraved with a pattern and card suits, representing Mr. Fogg wager to make the journey in 80 days. The cap top is embossed with the length of the journey, 25 days from Bombay to Yokohama and 80 days in total. The writing instrument is finished with a hand-crafted 18K gold nib garnished with a ruby and jewelry motive of Princess Aouda.
