The commitment to highest quality and traditional values manifest itself in our Maison´s timeless creations, which makes them a fine lifetime companion to their owners. In equal measure, this philosophy implies the continuation of the CSR tradition of employee development and community investment involvement towards our employees and civil society as a whole. With our origins in the culture of writing, we have set an international standard of cultural commitment, with wide-ranging international initiatives to promote arts and culture in many forms from contemporary arts, young theatre and classical music.
In 2006, Bono and Bobby Shiver founded (RED) with the mission to make it easy for people and businesses to fight for an AIDS free generation. The foundation partners with global brands to introduce (RED) themed products. All donations go to the Global Fund that fights AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria as well as supports HIV/AIDS grants in Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania and Zambia.
In 2018, Montblanc joined the cause: The partnership with Marc Newson, one of the most influential designers of his generation who designed the Montblanc M, continues with our new writing instrument (Montblanc M)RED that has been created for the (RED) organization in order to support their aim for an AIDS free generation.
Since more than 10 years Montblanc has joined forces with UNICEF. In 2004 for the first time to launch "Sign Up for the Right to Write", a campaign to promote quality education for the world's children. Then again in 2009 Montblanc and UNICEF unveiled the Meisterstück "Signature for Good" initiative working together to fight illiteracy around the world. The project raised $4.3 million USD. Lastly in 2013 Montblanc continued its support to benefit UNICEF’s education programmes, focusing on the most vulnerable children, through the Schools for Africa and Asia initiatives, and programmes in Latin America. Montblanc built on the success of the first “Signature for Good” initiative launched in 2009 and raised over all projects more than $10 million USD .
We support the life-changing work of Laureus, as official Writing Instruments, Leather Goods and Accessories Partner Of The Laureus World Sports Awards. The Awards celebrate the most remarkable men and women from the world of sports. In 2019, as part of our ongoing partnership, we donated a limited number of our distinguished Sartorial Dome backpacks featuring the Laureus logo and signatures by the Academy members. They were donated toward the ongoing initiatives in over 40 countries that support more than 160 sports-based community programmes in an effort to combat social challenges facing children and young people through the power of sport.
The Maison is engaged in a transparent and responsible sourcing system as well as long term supplier relationships.
