The Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Chronograph 0 Oxygen Limited Edition of 290 pieces is totally devoid of oxygen to guarantee the watch's performance and precision over time, even in some of the harshest mountain environment. Zero oxygen inside the movement not only eliminates fogging, which can occur with drastic temperature changes at altitude, but also prevents oxidization. Without oxygen, all the components last far longer and will provide greater precision over time. The timepiece comes in a lightweight 44mm polished titanium case, with a 3D engraving on the case back, and is fitted with Montblanc's blue glacier pattern dial. It is powered by Montblanc's MB 29.27 Manufacture automatic chronograph movement with worldtime complication. Like with all 1858 Geosphere models, both the Northern and Southern hemispheres are represented with two three-dimensional globes and include a day & night indication so that the wearer can see what time it is across the Earth with a simple glance. This model will be tested by alpinist Nimsdai Purja during an expedition to the summit of Mount Everest in May 2022, also without the use of supplemental oxygen.
