Paying tribute to the world’s highest peaks and the alpinists who dare to climb them enduring extreme conditions, the Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Chronograph 0 Oxygen The 8000 Limited Edition to 290 pieces is housed in a 44mm titanium case totally devoid of oxygen. This has several advantages for explorers by eliminating fogging and preventing oxidization, thus allowing the movement to last far longer with greater precision. Powered by Montblanc’s Manufacture Chronograph with Worldtime complication, Calibre MB 29.27, this automatic movement includes a date at 3 o’clock and two 3D turning globes with the Northern Hemisphere at 12 o’clock and the Southern Hemisphere at six o’clock. Both hemispheres feature orange reference meridians, 14 dots marking the 8000m peaks on the northern continents, and day & night indicators. The timepiece also comes fitted with a fluted bi-directional black ceramic bezel with cardinal points and a 3D coloured laser engraving on the case back displaying names and altitudes of the14 eight- thousanders. The dial and bezel luminescent indications are very practical for any outdoor adventures.
