Wood is chosen to pay tribute to when Mr. Foggs saves Princess Aouda from being forced to commit suttee. The main characters travel in this part of the adventure on a majestic elephant, which is featured in a cartouche on the cap. The cap and the barrel feature an engraved pattern with Indian, Chinese and Japanese inspirations. The clip features a red lacquered diamond card suit, representing Mr. Fogg's wager to make the journey in 80 days. The cap top is embossed with the length of the journey, 25 days from Bombay to Yokohama and 80 days in total.
