"Once upon a time..." The Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to the Brothers Grimm is dedicated to Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm and celebrates their work on German and European folktales, among which are some of the most famous fairy tales such as "Snow White", "Cinderella" and "Sleeping Beauty". This writing instrument is made from 18K solid white gold and, as an homage to the tale of "Snow White", features hand-engraved yellow gold-coated leaves as well as several 18K solid white gold inlays resembling ore which the dwarves of the tale would dig up from deep in the mountains. As a highlight, the barrel features a hand-cut rock crystal "tomb" underneath which Snow White peacefully sleeps. The cap is crowned by the Montblanc Emblem in precious 18K solid white gold delicately resembling the letters "A" to "F" under sapphire glass. The 18K solid white gold cone with engravings is adorned by seven rubies as an homage to the dwarves. The 18K solid white gold clip, also inspired by a knobby piece of wood, surprisingly reveals the silhouette of the profile of the Brothers Grimm when turned. As an homage to Snow White, the handcrafted 18K solid gold nib bears an apple.

Jacob Ludwig Karl Grimm and Wilhelm Carl Grimm, together known as The Brothers Grimm, were authors and lexicographers from 19th century Germany. Best known for their famous collection of European folk tales, including Snow White, Hansel and Gretel, Rapunzel and Sleeping Beauty, the traditional stories they amassed and published are still beloved around the world today.
