The independance date “August 9th 1975” is engraved on the cap top. It is surrounded by an orchid pattern, which pays tribute to Singapore’s national flower. The hexagon pattern on the barrel is highlighted by translucent red lacquer, and the barrel’s forepart features the city-state’s skyline. An orchid is also represented on the handcrafted solid Au750 gold nib, embellished with a ruby. The cap and the cone are platinum-coated.
