The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by the famous adventure novel by Jules Verne. The Solitaire LeGrand Fountain Pen in black stained wood, draws on the second leg of the journey from Bombay to Yokohama. Wood is chosen to pay tribute to when Mr. Foggs saves Princess Aouda from being forced to commit suttee. The main characters travel in this part of the adventure on a majestic elephant, which is featured in a cartouche on the cap. The cap and the barrel feature an engraved pattern with Indian, Chinese and Japanese inspirations. The clip features a red lacquered diamond card suit and the cone is etched with a pattern inspired by Princess Aouda's jewellery and the card suits. The cap top is embossed with the length of the journey, 25 days from Bombay to Yokohama and 80 days in total. The writing instrument is finished with a hand-crafted 18K gold nib garnished with the hot air balloon with 20/10 and 14/11: Mr Foggs leaves Bombay at 20:00 on 20 October and leaves Yokohama at 18:00 on 14 November.
