The Montblanc Star Legacy Collection takes its inspiration from Minerva’s heritage and the company’s pocket watches that were made during the late 19th century and early 20th centuries. The Montblanc Star Legacy Exo Tourbillon Skeleton Limited Edition 8 is reinterpreted with a fully skeletonized aesthetic, taking the patented Exo Tourbillon floating complication to a new level of suspension with a hand-made open-worked timepiece. The resulting timepiece creates a composition of pure lines where watchmaking artisanal know-how meets technology, drawing attention to the Exo Tourbillon and the skeletonized movement from top to bottom. Very rarely can we observe a whole movement working from every angle and get a 360-degree view. Each of the movement’s tiny components is meticulously decorated by hand, following traditional techniques that create an airy and bright timepiece. Following pure horological tradition, the components of the Manufacture movement calibre MB M18.69 are entirely decorated in the Montblanc Manufacture in Villeret with hand-crafted finishings such as circular graining, mirror-polishing and beveling with 420 inner angles that take two weeks to polish. Applied on the movement, the off-centred dial located at 12 o’clock is made of gold 750/1000 (18 karats) and "Grand Feu" enamel. The 44.8 mm case comes in polished rose gold 750/1000 (18 karats) with large sapphire crystals. They reveal the beauty and transparent view on the Exo Tourbillon from the front to back.
