HOMAGE TO PIERRE-AUGUSTE RENOIR
The Masters of Art collection honours French painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir, one of the founding fathers of Impressionism whose spirit is intertwined with the legacy of our Maison, itself founded by three visionary pioneers. The collection captures Renoir’s evolution as an artist, with thoughtful details that blend Modernism with classical influences to create writing instruments that are works of art in their own right.
1. Limited Edition 4810
In celebration of Renoir’s artistic beginnings, the Limited Edition 4810 fountain pen and rollerball is inspired by the shape of a traditional pencil. Crafted from olive wood and daubed with shades of paint as if plucked straight from the artist’s hand, this edition pays a special tribute to Renoir’s cherished olive grove that surrounded his home in the south of France.
2. Limited Edition 888
The Limited Edition 888 pays homage to Renoir’s time working as a porcelain painter. The translucent lacquered cap and barrel are offset by a series of fine details, including a vivid blue flower motif framed in gold on the cap, and a platinum-coated cap top ring bearing the engraving 1854 - the year Renoir began his porcelain painting apprenticeship.
3. LIMITED EDITION 161
The Limited Edition 161 recognises the “pearly period”, when Renoir’s colour palette changed to softer and lighter tones of white and rose. The cap shows a striking three-dimensional sculptural relief of Renoir’s famous piece, Woman with a Hat, and the nib is adorned with a floral decoration — a prominent feature of his still life paintings.
4. LIMITED EDITION 92
The warm, rich colour palette of one of Renoir’s masterpieces, Luncheon of the Boating Party, inspires the Limited Edition 92, which can be seen in the barrel inlays that mirror the fabric awning in the painting. The limited run of 92 pieces marks the year 1892, when Renoir’s famed painting Jeunes Filles au Piano was sold to the Musée du Luxembourg.
5. LIMITED EDITION 8
Renoir’s classical style is encapsulated in the exquisite Limited Edition 8, which takes inspiration from his painting, The Great Bathers. Renoir's depiction of the bathing girl is elegantly reimagined on a gold inlay on the barrel using the Bulino engraving technique, and rings of brilliant cut diamonds decorate the cap and barrel. The limited collection of “8” is a tribute to the lucky number in Asian culture.

As a tribute to Renoir's drawing skills, a metalpoint tip made of either Ag 925 sterling silver or Au 999 solid gold is integrated into the cone, providing the means to create silverpoint sketches of one's own.
