Discover the new Meisterstück collection, Around the World in 80 Days, inspired by Jules Verne’s classic adventure novel and the pioneering spirit of its central character, Phileas Fogg. A tale of voyage and wonder, our Maison pays special tribute to the closing chapter where Mr Fogg and his French valet, Passepartout, travel by train across America before reaching their final destination: London.
The Meisterstück Resin writing instrument brings to life Mr Fogg’s journey across vast American landscapes by train. The cap features a cartouche engraved with an intricate steam train, complemented by a precious dark blue resin barrel. His final journey is also captured by the au 585/14K gold nib, with an inscription of its start and end date from Yokohama to London.
An elegant tribute to the new innovations of travel in the nineteenth century, the Meisterstück Doué Edition features a ruthenium-coated cap with etched smoke pattern and pressure valves, floating over a deep blue lacquer on the barrel. The detailing on the clip shows a red lacquered heart card suit, a subtle nod to Mr Fogg’s wager to make the journey in eighty days, as well as his love for Aouda.
A refined dark blue smoke pattern rolls across the Meisterstück Solitaire LeGrand writing instrument. With a ruthenium-coated cap and barrel, a closer look at the cone marks one of the novel’s key moments, when the wagon detaches from the engine.
Inspired by Mr. Fogg’s journey from Bombay to Yokohama, the Limited Edition 811 writing instrument has been crafted with a series of thoughtful design touches. The Au 750 solid gold cartouche, with a casted train set against a mountainous backdrop, sits across the Ag 925 sterling silver cap and a black structured lacquered barrel, framed by two Au 750 solid gold rings.
