MAKING HIS MARK AT GREAT HEIGHTS

This collection honours the bold journeys and great heights that mountaineer Reinhold Messner achieved throughout his life. Messner was the first to solo-climb Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen — a feat that influenced our Zero Oxygen technology — and all 14 of the world’s 8,000-metre peaks. His solo adventures also included traversing all of Antarctica on skis and the entirety of the Gobi Desert and Greenland on foot.

The Montblanc 1858 Geosphere 0 Oxygen CARBO2 is limited to 1969 pieces as a nod to the year Reinhold Messner made the first solo ascent of Les Droites, the north face on the Mont-Blanc massif.
