At Montblanc, we believe that everyone can leave a mark. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to educate youths about the inspiring potential of the written word.
Founded to benefit children and young adults around the world, Dear Future is an exciting philanthropic initiative dedicated to writing. A collaborative project from the Montblanc Cultural Foundation together with the Maison, Dear Future is a sustainable way to give back to society with the power of writing.
In partnership with two local schools, the Montblanc Cultural Foundation invites teenagers to learn the artistic writing form of calligraphy and discover the creative power of handwriting. The initiative also gives young people the exciting opportunity to come and experience Montblanc Haus, a unique and inspiring space designed to encapsulate the culture of writing. The free classes are led by a specialist teacher versed in calligraphy education, who works with each group of students to help them hone their skills over several classes. The collaboration will run for several years to maximise the positive impact on the youth of Hamburg.
FOEHN (which stands for ‘Fund for the Environment and High Nature’ in French) is an endowment fund created by the Companie des Guides de Chamonix. The Montblanc Cultural Foundation supports the fund by financing its Understand and Protect the Mountain program, which educates local children aged 10-12 about protecting the alpine environment in which they live. Each month, youths living in the Mont Blanc valley are invited to explore the Mont Blanc with local guides, where they learn about fauna and flora, as well as the impact of climate change. Students are then encouraged to write about their inspiring experiences on the mountain.
Established to teach young adults a range of important writing and literacy skills to use in their professional careers, Montblanc Cultural Foundation formed this project in collaboration with Mae Sot Hospitality and Catering Training Center. Using a vocational school as a base, classes cater for up to 65 students aged between 16 and 22. Participants work on improving their English writing skills through fun and creative tasks, such as writing songs, short plays, and self-expression exercises.
A longstanding partner of the Richemont group, Laureus is an NGO that aims to put an end to violence and discrimination through the positive power of sport. The Montblanc Cultural Foundation is collaborating with Laureus to strengthen this ongoing partnership. The project introduces young people to the benefits of both sports and writing. Children from the suburbs of Milan are invited to participate in an energetic sports workshop, before writing about their emotions under the tutelage of both a writing instructor and sports psychologist.
